Join us for a free public program designed to help older adults—and those who support them—access practical, local options for living safely and independently at home. This event brings together four key dimensions that make aging in place possible: in-home caregiving, home safety and accessibility, transportation and mobility, and community-based supports such as nutrition, companionship, and social connection. Attendees will learn what resources exist in Sonoma County, how to determine which services fit their needs, and where to begin. A Q&A will follow to offer personalized guidance.

Sequoia Senior Solutions will provide an overview of licensed in-home care, including personal care, companionship, and respite services. Presenters will outline how to assess care needs, the difference between home care and home health, private pay and insurance considerations, and what to look for when choosing caregivers—supported by real client examples.

Rebuilding Together Petaluma will share practical strategies for improving home safety through low-cost modifications like grab bars, ramps, fall-prevention tools, and volunteer-based repairs.

Transportation & Mobility will highlight options such as VNP volunteer drivers, LumaGo, and paratransit services, including tips for eligibility, scheduling, and using transportation to maintain social connection and access to medical care.

Participants will leave with tools, contacts, and confidence to plan for aging at home.
