This year's Thanksgiving event will be an outward-facing day of service, supporting Petaluma's COTS. On Friday, November 21, Villagers will prepare dishes and ingredients for COTS' (Community On the Shelterless) traditional Thanksgiving meals.
Volunteers arrive at Village Network of Petaluma at 9:30 am to coordinate cars and riders. We will carpool to the Mary Isaaks Center and arrive by 9:45. Carpooling is highly recommended. Our kitchen shift will run 1.25 hours, from 10:00 am to 11:15 am. This is followed by serving lunch to the residents, and will conclude by 12:30.
The serving would be a mixture of behind the counter and serving the tables with lunch, drinks and dessert.
Safety Precautions: Wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. Everything else will be provided.
Thank you for participating. Your participation will have a great impact on our community.
