Age Friendly Petaluma: What's Next?
Presented by Kris Rebillot and Nancy Frank
Village Network of Petaluma members and volunteers enjoy a better experience of aging as we grow with, laugh with, and rely on each other. Together we navigate the opportunities and transitions of growing older.
We are a community that embraces connection, caring, and choices in how we live and thrive. The Village model is a way of life, not a place: "neighbors helping neighbors.
Few things are as satisfying as being of service and it’s a great way to make new friends. Offer a ride, take notes at a medical visit, help with a computer, handle a home repair. Visit or be a friendly voice on the phone.
Our donors are volunteers, members, businesses, and community supporters who believe in changing the way we experience aging in our community. Donations are tax-deductible to our 501(c) (3).
"When I connect with my Village, I feel energized, because I am
part of a vibrant, expansive community.
Together, we’re creating what comes next in our lives."
The Village Network is a non-profit membership organization of active older adults 50+ in the Petaluma-Penngrove area. As part of an innovative nationwide movement begun in 2004, we are one of several hundred Villages revolutionizing the experience of aging.
Members and volunteers offer each other support services and social connections to improve quality of life and expand choices. We collaborate with other organizations to build a more age-friendly Petaluma.
We Are Part of the California and National Village Movements
The Village Network of Petaluma is part of the national Village to Village Network (VtV). Established in 2002, the Village Movement has since grown to include more than 200 active Villages across the country, with an additional 150 in development.
One of nearly 60 Villages in California, we’re proud to be part of the new Village Movement California (VMC). VMC connects Villages across the state to strengthen impact, accelerate growth, and ensure sustainability of the Village Movement.
Through our affiliations with VtV and VMC, we are building on the best practices of Villages throughout California and the U.S.
