This beautiful song was written by a woman in Mexico, in about 1938. Take a nostalgic and historic look at one of the most popular songs in the U.S. and elsewhere during the 40s and 50s.
Enjoy clips of recordings, videos, and a movie. Appreciate how the song has become politicized in the past few years in relation to immigration at our southern border. Stay until the end to hear about the hilarious scandal in Brazil.
