The Mindfulness-based Meditation Group is offered as an 8-week series, and meets on consecutive Saturdays from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Our shared goal is to hone our meditation skills and to cultivate compassion, gratitude, and non-judgmental awareness as we bring a measure of calmness and relaxation to our moments. Each week includes a selected reading and two guided meditations with time in between for participants’ sharing.
Open to 10 Village members and active volunteers, registration for each series is on a “first come” basis.
The group is led by Dr. Freeman Humphrey, a retired psychiatric social worker with in-depth experience in both guided meditation and group facilitation for over twelve years.
